Performance Analysis of Electrochemical Micro Machining of Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) Alloy under Different Electrolytes Concentrations

Titanium alloy is widely used in modern automobile industries due to its higher strength with corrosion resistance. Such materials can be effectively machined using unconventional machining processes, especially the electro-chemical micro (ECMM) process. It important enhance process by investigating effects of electrolytes and parameters ECMM. The presented work describes influence three different combinations Sodium Chloride-based on (Ti-6Al-4V) alloy. Based ECMM such as applied voltage, electrolytic concentration, frequency duty cycle response, characteristics are determined Taguchi design experiments. highest material removal rate (MRR) was achieved Chloride Nitrate electrolyte. combination Citric Acid achieve Overcut Circularity. optimal overcut observed from Glycerol electrolyte presence glycerol. better conicity obtained comparison other electrolytes. A could generate surface owing chelating effect Glycerol.
